Classic hiking trail to reach Col des Sauts starting from "Sur les Bois".

You can access the "Sur les Bois" neighborhood by bus no. 1 and get off at the "Rampignon" stop.

This route goes through the "Pré Vernet" parking area, which is no longer accessible by motor vehicle. Or you can park your car in an authorized parking space.

You can start from "Sur les Bois" and walk to the Col des Sauts. Just follow the road going up into the forest. After the first bend (next to a large field), behind the telecom tower, you'll find a path on the right. A barrier blocks the wide path. Go under the barrier (or over it if you're feeling strong). The trail veers left a little further. Do not take the first one—it's the next trail that is correct.

Caution: this is still a technical trail with stones and roots, and especially slippery stones due to frequent use. Please use proper hiking gear.

Please avoid cutting switchbacks to prevent trail erosion. Respect the area and do not leave litter.

Plan for 3 to 4 hours round trip.

For the descent, follow the same trail, or you can go down via the road starting from "Pré Vernet".
